Earlier night

Well, LJ is already in bed and it is just before 9 p.m.  I am winding down my day as well.  It's been a good one.  We went to the YMCA again this morning, and LJ was not thrilled with childcare, ( yet again), but they assure me that my efforts are not in vain.  Eventually, they say, he will acclimate himself to it and enjoy his social time.  It's no fun, though, to know he is unhappy.  I'll keep doing it, though.  I am very comfortable with the "teachers" there, and I know they will love him through it.  So, thirty minutes a day, we will make our way towards independence.  I know one day LJ will decide he's ready to enjoy himself.  Until then, we'll end that rough half-hour with some basketball and/or swimming.

There's not a whole lot to report otherwise.  LJ and I walked around the mall this afternoon - really on a mission for a slice of cookie cake.  We got there, though, and they were out.  A cookie place out of cookie cake?  I was so sad...well, relatively sad.  I really wanted a slice.  That stuff is truly a piece of heaven on earth...especially when it is cooked only enough to where it bends downward like a slice of pizza if you hold it by the end.  That's the ultimate test - the "droop" test, I like to call it.  :)
Well, I am going to go wind down myself and try to get stuff together for Lance's return home after his game and a new day tomorrow.
Love,
Jamie
Edit:  It is still cold and raining tonight -- Lance had to pitch in this mess!  He's on his way home, and I think I'll check him for signs of pneumonia at the door!  He's gonna need some hot tea or something.  It's supposed to be in the 70's on Thursday - maybe by then, we won't have caught a cold and can enjoy some sunshine.  Lance leaves after that for an eight-day road-trip, and while we welcome the warm weather, we will miss him!!!!  Above is a sweet picture I took, celebrating Saturday's rain delay!
