Well, we woke up this morning with birds eating out of the new feeders we bought! I had gotten two feeders ( each about 3 dollars) from Wal-Mart and some birdseed for "song birds". Well, it worked! We have had cardinals, a bluejay, some cute little birds I don't know the names of and some curious pigeons. At any point during the day, there were about six birds on our little balcony. Some eating, some just grooming. I'm so excited that our balcony has become the cool place to hang if you're a bird! Check out the posted picture.
Again, we went to the YMCA this morning. Only this morning, it was a little later. LJ woke up around six and we pulled him into the bed with us, praying he'd give us another half hour. Well he slept till almost 9 a.m.! We were all so rested when we woke up! It was awesome! I'm not counting on it happening again, but it was nice to have a morning like that. LJ was o.k. at the Y - he cried off and on, but is doing better each time. We will keep going, especially since it's our only active escape from this bad weather. Every day, it has been in the low 50's with a constant mist or light rain. The basketball and indoor swimming at the Y gives us something fun to do when we can't go outdoors.
We had a great surprise today. My mom's brother, "Uncle Jimmy" to me, is in town for a conference. He came to the baseball game tonight with LJ and I. It was so much fun. Just to have someone to visit and laugh with was wonderful, and it was great to catch up with him. . He bought our "Philly Cheesesteaks" and gave LJ his first taste of cotton candy. I've posted a few pictures of our night at the game, too. We are hoping Uncle Jimmy can skip out on part of the conference tomorrow and go to the day game with us, too.
Lance is doing great. He seems to like his team, and he's pitching well. He's been so sweet lately and such a big help. Just to have someone here sometimes to pull out the high chair, cut LJ's fruit or take Rookie out is a big help. He does it all with lots of love, and we're going to miss him when he leaves at 4 a.m. Friday morning! He'll get back the following Saturday, and I am already wishing he was home!
Well, I'm going to go finish a few things before getting ready for bed. We miss you and love you. I hope you had a blessed day!
Love,
Jamie
