Happy Birthday, USA!!!

Well, we just finished up our night.  We kept LJ up for the fireworks show at 9:30.  He wasn't so sure about it, but he started out watching it from the back of his room.  By the end of the fireworks, he had worked his way to the den.  We didn't want to rush him, so we let him get closer has he felt comfortable.

Lance had already eaten dinner at the field, but we were still a little hungry.  I did a baked brie and some brownies, so we waited on those to cook while the fireworks boomed.  People paid 25 dollars to park near our apartment to watch the show, and we watched with a great view from our apartment.  We overlook the harbor, and despite a tree guarding our everyday privacy, we were able to see some fireworks -- they were high above our tree.

I hope you had a great night.  LJ, Lance and I were thankful to be together.  Rookie even weathered the fireworks well...he didn't cry or bark, just stayed close until they were over.  Happy Birthday, America!  We are so thankful to call you home!

Loved looking at your slide show! Reagan finally likes fireworks now too. She used to be scared to death of them! Happy 4th! :)
