Lo Hicimos!

Well, we went to Dora Live!  this morning...all of us!  Don't you know Lance was so pleased that I bought tickets for the only showtime his schedule would allow him to go to?  I'm not gonna lie, I caught him a few times singing and dancing, telling Swiper not to "swipe!"  :)  In all seriousness, though - it was a blast and so special to be together.  LJ liked it, although there were quite a few "mascot-looking" characters that he would have edited out of the cast if he had the choice.  We were so proud of him - he was so well-behaved through the fun times, (dancing and jumping) and through the "scary" times - quietly wanting them to pass.  It was all good in the end, though because he helped Dora find "Osito", her teddy bear, and Baby Jaguar got his favorite squeaky toy from the City of Lost Toys.  Two thumbs way up!  :)

P.S.  This is post one of two - check below!

Sitting with "Estrella", his star, waiting for the show to start.

We both got one :)

walking with his Daddy after buying a "Rescue Pack" as his souvenir.

A pirated picture of "the action" - no pictures allowed!

L.J.'s "Tield"

Here are a few pictures from what LJ call's his field.  It's across from Lance's field, as you can see in the above picture.  It was a rainy morning, and we needed to burn off some energy before naptime.  I hope you enjoy - this boy is all baseball!!!  There's hardly room for much else - I'm starting to work in some other activities, but he only goes along with it, (coloring, puzzles, etc.) if I promise to play ball after.  :)

OK, so this was actually a few days ago, but I want to ask Rookie, "Have you not had enough?"  After getting into M&M's and half a Special Dark candy bar the other day and suffering some serious side-effects, he's coming back for more!  After I took this picture, I had to tell LJ, DO NOT give Rookie any cupcake!  :)

I thought this one was cute because I see Lance stand in this position all the time, waiting for a call from the catcher.  This time, though, it's pitching to LJ :)

Look at that tongue!  You're gonna bite that thing off!  :)  He's giving it all he's got!

Getting the mound exactly how he likes it :)

Is that his Dad or what?

Look at how serious he is!

I love those eyes and that dimple :)

He's tired, here.  I think he was wondering if he could make it up the playground steps :)

This is the reason I put all these pictures in Sepia tone or antiqued them - look at how red that face is!  It was nice and cloudy - coolest day we've had yet, but that boy can work up a red face in a hurry!  If I change the coloring on it, it's not so bad.  That's why most of our outdoor pics are not in bright color...i.e. red!

Lowery Park Zoo

OK, well I had to upload some pictures real quick from today - we went to the Tampa zoo and had a blast!  We rode a camel (fun for all!), fed a giraffe a cracker,  (not LJ's favorite) and went to the petting zoo where LJ had his most fun.  There were fountains where LJ was able to put on his bathing suit and cool off, a place to eat chicken fingers...you name it!  So fun!!!  These are just a few and I didn't have time to really play with them, but I had to post because I'm affraid I'll be too tired tonight!  :)  Headed to spin class now!

LJ and I on "Hank"!    Look at Hank posing!!

Laughing because LJ is saying " Ride 'em, coyboy!"

Feeding a giraffe a cracker!  :)

LJ and his "Rookie" goat :)

Like a mother watching over her...baby giraffe?  What's a baby giraffe called?  A foal?  :)

OK, so he found his niche at the zoo.  The entry fee was totally worth just the petting zoo!

Kisses to you!!

Fun post!

I actually got a little excited about some photos today and edited a bit.  We had a friend and her little boy come over, and I guess those baby wrinkles just got me goin' :)  Here is a picture-book of our day!

We woke up, got out the "tour wheeler" and rode to starbucks for a muffin and coffee, (for me), milk for LJ.  He chose milk over the smoothie??

Came home and had some crazy Rookie-LJ play time while I packed the pool bag and lunch.  Check out LJ's smile :)

Looked at this sweet baby boy while playing at the pool - if you click and make it larger, there's a quote about those eyes!

Speaking of eyes...and a smile :)  This is after church, hanging out before bed.  THAT is a picture of my boy - what he looks like all the time.

Too sweet, click on this one, too.  LJ really loves him, and I think he loves LJ , too.  His momma just made the picture - you can see her bun just over his left shoulder - she had to hold him up :)

Yes..another blog!

I think blogging goes in spurts for me.  I either do it a lot, or don't want to do it at all!  Today was just a good day for pictures, though, (rainy day in, LJ with blue hair [yes!  scroll down!]...had to share.  Hope it makes you smile!

I had to put this one in for Jenn, my photographer friend.  Is this what you mean by the eyes?  I was so excited to almost capture it!

This is the view of the rain coming in off our porch - the field was LJ and Rookie's favorite playground until they locked it, so it taunts LJ daily from the porch.  This was the site of Rays spring training until this year...imagine - I could have watched the games from my porch!  :)

If you have seen the tee-ball video below then you know why Rookie is hiding here until it's over!

~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Feeling the rain - as you can see, buddies again. :)

I think we have a stow-away!  You see him in his oversized "Garza" shirt?  More roadtrips, mom!

OK, here's the promised blue hair.  Today was the last game of the series against the Red Sox, going for the sweep...Big game, BIG fan :)

So fun!  This is my childhood nextdoor neighbor and her child - we had fun catching up at the game!

Apartment teeball

Turn up your volume, push pause on my blog music, (scroll down, right side) and enjoy.   I hope it makes you laugh - this was this morning, my first iMovie done quickly while LJ napped.  "Talented" is not what I'm going for, but "silly"...for sure.  Fun stuff!   Coming soon:  apartment "coach" pitch :)

When party poodles attack and a Sunday game play-time!

Well, we all know that Rookie is not really a "party poodle", (poodle of different colors, for those of you who didn't know what that was), but that's what we paid for, so we still call him one :)  He's really a poodle-ish mutt, but my point is that he had it up to his floppy ears with LJ the other day and retaliated.  I think LJ fell directly on Rookie's neck and the dog who has been chased, jumped on and pulled on repeatedly, bit back.  It was just a retaliatory bite, (his way of saying "oww!!" with a 40 lb. kid on his neck, but it sent the message louder and clearer than my, "please be soft with Rookie"'s ever have.  If you look closely on his left cheek, you can see the proof.  It was so close to the eye that it almost went from being a lesson learned to a hospital visit.  We are thankful.  I watch them extra closely now, but LJ is SO much softer and Rookie even appears to be more patient...for the moment.  I had to pop Rookie's nose after he did it, and I think LJ is being kind so that I don't do that again - it broke his heart.  I thought he was crying after "the incident", but spanking Rookie got even louder wails.  It's a love-hate relationship, not unlike brothers.

I don't know about you, but Rookie still looks like he's just tolerating LJ

After the game, the boys share a chat before a little baseball

LJ warming up in "the pen", pitching to his favorite hitter.

Lance trying to convince him to let him be the pitcher.  LJ's like, "but you get to do it all the time..."

I love this one.  Lance is jumping over LJ and LJ doesn't even realize it.  The shadow is cute, too.
