Off Day!

The baseball life is so funny - we have one day off, together, and we soak it up for all it's worth.  Come October, we'll have many, and I am already praying and planning to make sure this magic of family time doesn't fade too quickly!  We didn't do anything special - we just hung out - swimming, grocery shopping, making spaghetti.  It was wonderful!!! I had to share!  Gosh, I love these boys!

PS - there is another post below this one :)

Ate the WHOLE bowl ...with a fork.  Because it's in a TB bowl?  I don't care :)

My toes, LJ heading to his Daddy and his Dad waiting.    What a moment :)

Trading goggles.

Jumping together!

Daddy's dry fit - he's yelling "roll tide" here!

A week as big as Texas :)

We spent last Wednesday through Sunday in Arlington, Texas watching Lance and the Rays play the Rangers.  Nana and Pops made the trip, and it was so good to see them!  Lance even had an off day, so he and I spent the day at Six Flags to celebrate our 7th anniversary.  Still..no itch!  We had such a great time.  We spent those days with Nana and Pops by the pool, at a few baseball games, (HOT!), and just hanging out - it was awesome!

This is LJ on top of Lance's suitcase, in Lance's shoes.  I walked in and saw him this way - he didn't know if he should be doing this, so that's why his face looks like a deer in the headlights :)

Playing in the pool with Pops!

Daily ritual of feeding the koi fish with Nana.  They like muffins!

Playtime with the boys

On the 4th, the Sheraton had a cookout by the pool.  We took advantage of the popsicle freezer :)

Ahhh...sweet friends!!!  What a great catch-up!  John, Julia and Annie.

LJ playing those kids games in the outfield - he can really hit it off the tee!  :)  Look at that red face!

I know, I know! It's been a while...

And it's gonna be a little while longer!  :)  I just wanted to say hi - we had an awesome weekend in Texas and we are having friends in town until Wednesday, so it might have to wait until then!  I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend - so many cute pics to post and I'll do it ASAP!

Pool time and Tea for two!

We have had a great few days since Lance left for Canada.  The Shouse's came over yesterday for a pool day, and LJ LOVED having them as much as I did.  Little Daisy is 21 months and Emmy is 13 - such sweet girls.  I love their momma, and we had a great day together at the pool with a picnic lunch.  I hope you enjoy the pictures!  LJ and I are headed to Texas tomorrow, so we'll post pictures from our trip there soon.  LJ gets to see Nana and Pops while Lance and I have a day at Six Flags - everybody wins!!!  Hope you are great!
I added this one as an afterthought - I almost forgot.  The "catcher's mask" he's wearing came with the Navarro bobblhead.  He thinks he can wear it, too.  Gulliver's Travels, Lilliput...anyone remember?

Wearing Emmy out!

Fight song :)

It's hit or miss, but it's more than I knew when I went off to college :)  Some call it brain-washing, I say it's just good ol' team spirit  - Roll Tide!
P.S.  You will have to scroll down and pause the music on my blog so you can hear him!

Quantum Leap Farms

Today, we had the opportunity to go Quantum Leap Farms in Odessa, FL for a Military Family appreciation day.  Quantum leap specializes in using horses for therapy - helping those who have returned from war, children and adults with disabilities, etc.  It is out in the middle of the Florida country and we are so blessed to have spent the day there with the animals and some of our nation's finest!

They had a moon bounce with a water slide - LJ LOVED it and played for about an hour with some other kids.

His momma still can't hoola-hoop, but he got it on his first try!

On the horse!  All by himself!

I thought he'd back out, but he was excited the whole time - it was so hard for him to "wait his turn".  During the ride, he was yelling, "Yee-haw!  Ride 'em cowboy!"

Painting a horse his favorite color...pink :)

Whatever the question, whatever the problem...

Cookie cake is the answer! Remember that, people :)

Then maybe take a nap with Rookie :)
