Caught up...again!

Well, I am caught up again!  It seems I have to do my off-season posts in groups, but now we are current.  I hope you enjoy the pics that follow:  the chia pet, then the wedding and then Cancun.  Fun stuff!!!

Happy New Year!  May God Bless you SO MUCH in 2009!!!

Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia!!

Well, we're going for "take two" of the Shrek Chia pet.  Lance got LJ and I a "donkey" one for Christmas and some new seeds!  Let's see if they grow!

Wedding pictures

We had a great time at Lance's cousin, Stephen Mayhall's wedding.  It was so great to see family and spend some time together!

A sweet moment!

:)

LJ was so cute that night - sorry this is the only picture I got!  By the time the "hooplah" was over, he was ready to sleep!  He slept in the stroller while mom and Dad danced!

Cancun! Dec. 17 - 24

A picture I played with on Picnik.com - a postcard from our trip!

Each night, they had the kids on stage to dance and play - here are Kacy, Tomy and L.J.!

LJ and "TaTa" painted ceramics on the beach - Tomy did a dolphin, and LJ did an airplane piggy bank!

LJ dancing by the Christmas tree...can you see his reflection in the ornament?

LJ Flying high!

This is actually from the start of our trip, the kids looking out at the airplane!

What a Christmas!!

Well, I don't have pictures to post yet, but I wanted to share in our wonderful holiday season!  The week before Christmas, Lance, LJ and I met my family in Atlanta for a little Christmas dinner, (Yummmm, Maw-Maw!) before heading out to Cancun on Wednesday morning.  We spent a WONDERFUL week there, just enjoying the sun, the water and each other.  Kacy and Tomy, my nieces, were so much fun, and LJ still is asking where they are now!  The weather was AMAZING, and we can't thank Me-Maw enough for the week together - it was a blast!  I will post pictures very soon.

We returned to Atlanta on Christmas Eve night and drove to Tuscaloosa to await Santa's visit.  When we arrived home at about 11 p.m., Santa was just getting into Alabama.  After putting LJ down in his bed, we helped him put out all of the sweet gifts we would open in the morning.  When LJ woke up on Christmas morning, we filmed him as he went to the tree.  He is just a few months short of understanding it all, I think.  He loved opening his gifts, and was satisfied with just one, ready to play...LOL, I know that won't last much longer, huh?

My sweet brother's back is hurting so bad that he wasn't able to make the beach trip with us.  Because of that, ( and the fact that we had no groceries!), my grandma sent our Christmas dinner with my mom - chicken, roast, cream corn, black-eyed peas, cornbread...it was amazing!  Beason was only able to stay for a bit, but we enjoyed a good dinner together before he headed home to rest.  Please pray for him because school is just around the corner, (his last semester!), and he needs some relief so that he can finish up strong!

On the day following Christmas, we packed up again and headed to Mobile to spend time with Lance's family for a wedding.  We had SUCH a good time!  Uncle Dave made a gumbo for like 65 people, (some say it was his best ever!), and we got to spend some great time eating and visiting with family.  Little Addie is getting so big - she'll be walking any time, and she is so cute!  After the wedding, Lance and I danced the night away at the reception.  We were in pre-L.J. form as he slept peacefully next to Nana in the stroller.  Pops tried to hang, and he even made it through the whole "jump around" song and "shout" before saying he needed a break.  hahaha!
On Sunday, after visiting with family one more time and eating some wedding cake for breakfast, we headed back home.  It is so good to be back after a wonderful family holiday.  To top it all off, we just picked up "puppy" from the boarder -- now, we are complete!  I hope your Christmas was equally Blessed - how wonderful is time with family!?

I will post pics from Cancun and the wedding soon.  We have begun the countdown to Spring Training, (though which one, we don't know!).  We'll keep you posted - To our family - thanks for making this time so special.  We love you so much!

Free Agency

Here we go!  An important day came and went yesterday - it was filled with negotiations, prayers, and a little stress :)  It ended with us making the decision to look into the market of baseball and see what other offers were out there.  We have been praying, and God has told us nothing, other than to be still.  Where we stand now is waiting - comparing other offers to the one we received, and making a decision down the road.  We are thankful for the ability to look and know the full situation and thankful for your prayers as we weigh our options and wait patiently for them to fall into place.  God is Sovereign, even when we are not! We are excited about what the future holds!  There is no timeline (we will decide by sometime around Feb. - maybe sooner), so pray for our patience, and we will update when we know something.

Just wanted to update - hope you are well and being Merry :)

Just a lazy week!

All business in the back yard :)

Well, it's just been a lazy week so far.  This weekend, Me-Maw kept LJ so Lance and I could go to Atlanta.  We had SUCH a good time watching Bama play so well, and we even got to go to dinner at the Sundial!  Can you believe it -- we didn't take a single picture!  We were so into the game, and we were freezing walking to dinner (hands in pockets), so the camera didn't make an appearance this weekend. I made some oreo people with LJ (fudge, m&m's and pretzels) and made two to look like lance and I this weekend, (shakers and all)!  Maybe I'll post a picture of them...
Anyway, we are just resting up and enjoying home this week.  Today is warm, but rain is on the horizon, so we have been playing outside, waiting for the rain.  I hadn't written in a week, and I'll try to post at least once every seven days.  During the season, I'm alone at night, so it's calming.  Now, my calm comes from a little company.  Don't worry, I'll be blogging again soon...baseball is just around the corner!  We should know where we'll be, or more to that effect, by Saturday.  Please pray for us, though we know God's hand is all over it!
