Go, Ravens!

Our day began with some bible studying at home!  God's word teaches us so much...he wanted to underline an especially important passage when I walked away. ;o)

Our friend, Jarret is #95 for the Ravens.  Here he is covering a receiver!

Look at him making a sack!!

Enjoying the game as a family

Just LJ and his dad, watching some football

Well, we have had a great off day!  We started the day with a morning in and some church at home.  It was a good morning - by the time lunch time came around, we were ready to get out of the house, but well-rested.

We went to the Ravens' football game today.  Our friend, Jarret plays for them, and he invited us to come watch the game today.  He has come to see Lance play a few times, and it was wonderful to go see his game.  Football is CRAZY and loud, so LJ wasn't so sure.  It was a good introduction to those crazy bama football games, though, and we had a great time.  Jarret's wife, Anna, was such a gracious hostess - we even got to go down during half-time to the family room for a snack!  The Ravens won 17 - 10, and Jarret was the star player!

After half-time, we biked back home and headed to the pool at the workout center.  We swam for almost two hours!!!  We reheated the white beans and rice from dinner last night, and I think we are now headed to Little Italy to grab some dessert.  It was a wonderful off-day!!  We took advantage of a great location - Baltimore is a wonderful city!  Biking, watching NFL and dessert in Little Italy... I hope your day was just as blessed!!!
Love,
Jamie

Roll Tide, Alabama wins!! 2-0!

After lunch, LJ hangs out, watching college football and snacking from his "snack plate"

Rookie enjoys the snack plate, too :)

LJ loves his pasta dinner!!  He still has chocolate chips on his face from the cookie he had in Whole Foods :)

Thinking about what he might write in the blog tonight :)  No...just playing!  He loves to sit there and look at the picture slide show that plays when no one is using the computer!

I hope you had a good day!  It's been a long day for Lance with baseball...they were at the field at 10 a.m. this morning - their first game rained out, but it's after 10 p.m. now and he's not home from the night game they played.  He has a day off tomorrow , (yayy!!!), and we plan to go to a bit of the Ravens NFL game to watch our friend Jarred play.  Other than that, we'll probably go to church or have church at home and just enjoy each other's company.

Today, we had to stay inside most of the day, but we found lots of running room in the hallway and even went to swim for a bit at the gym.  LJ LOVES his friends at the gym - he's a favorite, there, too, and I think they'll miss him just as much when we head home.  What a blessing that place has been!!!

I'm tired and ready to get ready for bed!  Roll Tide and good night!
Love,
Jamie

Quick one!

Well, LJ is in the bath - we just got back from the game, biking home in the rain!  It was a light rain on our drive, but we knew it would continue to get worse as the tropical storm makes landfall nearby.  Lance is supposed to have a double-header tomorrow, but we're hoping they will keep it until Sunday...it's supposed to be severe rain here tomorrow.  It would stink if they had to stay at the field all day, waiting to play games that aren't going to be played.

We had a great day - good swimming with LJ at the MAC today and then just a nice day at home until the game.  I had a dinner with the other wives, and LJ did great in childcare.  I always miss him while he's in there.

Well, I better run..he's laughing in there and I know that means he's pushing water onto the floor!!!

Goodnight!

Pics!

LJ and a little friend playing in the sand box!

This one was taken today...the others yesterday...this one is of the boys' regular off day nap!

...this one is of them waking up!

ready to swing!!

Check out this playground.  This is in the camp built for ages 7- 11...LJ and I did go down the slides, though!

LJ looking at the wagon...they have hayrides and corn mazes during the fall, and I think they use these then.

Check out that landscape!!

We were in a bucket that goes down a zip cord - they call it the "Mine Shaft"...I don't think LJ was sure if he wanted to do it or not!

Yesterday, we were invited to a place called "River Ranch Valley".  It is in the country outside of Baltimore, and it's where summer camps are held locally.  It was awesome!!  It reminded me of a boy scout camp where we once had a family reunion, and it was awesome to let LJ run wild.  I didn't have to say "no" to protect him from cars, water or other people and their dogs.  He was able to just explore, and it was fantastic!!!  Hope you enjoy the pics!

Labor Day Pics

In honor of the Tide's big win, we are making football sugar cookies.  Check out LJ putting them on the cookie sheet...he's stacking them like blocks :)

Are they done yet?

We took them in a baggy to the pool on Labor Day...looks like he's showing me he's out of cookies.  We played at the pool all morning, brought out a double-decker PB&J sandwich, some fruit and chips, then played some more.  He was exhausted...

...so exhausted that he FELL asleep in the bath!!!!

Well, here are some Labor Day pics - it was a great day spent at the pool!

Happy Birthday today, Maw-Maw!  We just went to our favorite little bakery in Little Italy and got a canoli in your honor!  I'll take a picture of it before I eat it - it's my Happy 81st Birthday, Maw-Maw treat!  I hope you had one half as good!!!

Happy Homecoming to my mom, and to the Cormier's - we are so glad you are safe and sound!!
Lance comes home tomorrow night and we can't wait!!
Love y'all!

It's late and I'm tired, so I will post more tomorrow.  I just wanted to say goodnight and how thankful I am that our family and friends are safe after the hurricane!
