Are you ready for this???

Welcome to LJ's first baseball card! Here it is - just out from "Lower Deck"! The front is above, and the back is below. You may need to click on it to read his stats & bio. Cool, huh? I thought it might be cool to have if I ever take sports team pics. I'm going to try and print them off, so grandparents will be receiving some soon, signed ;) It took forever to make these in Photoshop because I had to create it, but now they're a cinch since that's done! Enjoy :)

For those of you that missed it...

This is the video the Bulls gave me of LJ running the bases vs. Wool E Bull. It'll change your life! LOL Remember to turn off the volume of the music so you can hear the audio!

We made it back to Durham! We are so excited to be together again, and we're refreshed after some great time at home. There's no place like home, but it's not quite the same without Dad around :) We got in after midnight Friday night.

We have been "church hopping" all year. If I had a nickel for every church we've tried during our times in Phoenix, LA, and now here, I'd have like 50 cents. But still, that is two pieces of gum, right? I could have used that during all of those church services! So, we decided to "screen a church" online before going. An interview, if you will...I am just tired of showing up at yet another church, another childcare room, convincing my son to go in so that I can confuse him and go to a different church again next week because I couldn't handle the snakes doctrine of this church. I jest, I jest. But seriously, God knows, (I've told him), I would like to just walk in and know I could handle a second visit. Internet services are fantastic for that.

So, we cozied up with our coffee and LJ did a little paper I made for him while we "went to church" on our computer. He now knows how to spell and write "God" (see above) and he drew God a picture. He says he's going to give it to Jesus when he gets to Heaven :) The online service was great - applicable, clear, and I think we will try it in person next week. :) Yay for interviewing before you go, right?

So, after "church", we went to lunch at Mellow Mushroom then had a playday at the ball field. I took SO many pics, but blogger is incredibly slow at uploading them. These are just a few. I hope you enjoy them! LJ & Lance had a great time together, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it all through my lens. I'll update with more soon! Until then, have a great week! I hope it's wonderful!
I LOVE this one - I feel like it has a vintage painting feel. The tobacco tower and the big bull in the background will always remind us of where we were during this time.

High Five's in the batting cage . So cute :)

Diving catch! That poor tongue - I can't believe he still has it, and I am SHOCKED we haven't seen the doctor for stitches yet. It's a matter of time...:)

I just wanted to share a few pictures of LJ playing in his back yard here at home! I've been taking so many pictures of other people's children, I felt like it was time to take a few of him. As I've been editing, he's asked, "Where's the pictures of me???" Well, sweetie, here they are :) Happy Happy Home!

And a very dirty pup! Getting groomed tomorrow ;)

Well, hello From Tuscaloosa Alabama! So very very happy to be home. The All-Star Break, though short, was fantastic, and as Lance heads out on the road, we stay here. Our days have been filled with boat rides, good food, good friends, good food, family time, and oh...did I say good food? Seriously, I know Tuscaloosa is not a culinary hot-spot, but there are so many places we love to go. I think Lance and I could have both licked the cheese dip out of the bowl at Pepito's last night :) Such a fantastic time. So very thankful.

I just wanted to touch base. LJ & I will be here for a few days then meet Lance in Durham next week. I have no less than 4 photo sessions scheduled here, (yay!), including a Delivery Room session! My first, so excited. I'll have to make sure to keep my emotions in check so that I don't cry as I am supposed to be taking an important picture. :)

Goodnight friends! Hope this week finds you well!!

I'm so sorry I haven't been on here in a while! We are doing great. It's been busy, though. We just got back from Charlotte where Lance played for 4 days, and now he's headed to Atlanta tomorrow. He'll only be here two days and then he is here for 2 more (during that time we have to change apartments - this one's rented), then to Norfolk, VA for two...(why am I telling you all this?)...because after that we fly HOME for the all star break! Wooohooo!!! I can't even begin to tell you how excited we are.

Lance will be there with us for 3 days, and then LJ and I will stay for a week longer while he plays on the road. We haven't been home since the tornadoes, and though we know we'll be shocked and saddened by what we see, we are looking forward to being there. So many have worked so hard just to get the city where it is now. I know there's a long way to go, but maybe we can help in some way while we are there. Otherwise, you will find me planting flowers in my yard, going to the pool with LJ, having tea nights with a girlfriend or two and keeping LJ & Rookie from running over to Ms. Doris & Mr. Jackson's for treats all day. It's a good life!

Enjoy the pics below - we had a bug problem on the windshield today that needed LJ's expertise, then we took a great trip to the Duke Gardens to play some soccer. Fun times :)

"Every boy should have two things: a dog, and a mother willing to let him have one."

Well, Momma's got a new toy! A new photo editing software, strictly for light editing that I can do for large galleries & big groups of photos. The single photos that are to be printed, will continue to be photoshopped, but I just find this program, "Lightroom" a little more "bulk-friendly" as far as quick editing goes.

Here are some pics from today - LJ & I took Rookie to Duke Gardens for some play time. We WORE him out! LJ walked Rookie all around the park, (with me following and Rookie looking back every 5 seconds wondering why I wasn't the one with the leash). It was a good lesson for LJ to be responsible for him, and I think things like this steer their LOVE/HATE relationship closer to the "love" side :)

Hope you enjoy the pics!
